Stephen Nitz entered the financial services industry in 1981. He believes every client should have a plan for their financial future that clearly summarizes their goals and aspirations. Stephen considers it his responsibility to communicate regularly with clients, advising them on the implementation of the investment plans and providing them with regular reports on the progress being made toward their financial goals.
Stephen has met rigorous professional standards and adheres to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality and diligence when providing financial service to clients.
He works closely with a trusted network of legal, accounting and insurance professionals on complex matters involving trusts and estates to help his clients obtain the proper assistance regarding their estate planning needs.
His extensive professional background also includes Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and he is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative. He has insurance licenses for life, fixed and variable annuities. Stephen has the distinction of holding the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) designations and is a member of the Fairfield County Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.
In 1981, Stephen graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He later graduated from DePaul University with an MBA in Finance and Marketing.
Born and raised in the same town in Northwest Indiana, Stephen and his wife, Kathie, were married in 1981 and moved to Connecticut in 1991 for his job. New England instantly felt like home to them, and they deeply appreciate the beauty of Connecticut and all the area has to offer. They’ve resided in Southbury since 1999.
They enjoy spending time in nature especially while kayaking, biking, hiking or camping. They are also avid travelers to destinations near and far.
